North Bondi Semi Development

DA approval in December 2022

The developer we are working with had ownership of a set of semi-detached houses that were located at North Bondi. Our task was to create a plan for two completely new sets of semi-detached homes that would replace the original single story ones. This project presents an exceptional chance to develop both sites simultaneously and avoid obstacles often encountered in constructing just one half of such pairs. A symmetric layout allowed us to optimize construction time and cost-effectiveness in our building design while making the best use of the site’s potential.

 

It was not without its challenges; the existing semi-detached houses were in poor condition with limited functionality and needed demolition. Hence, our task was to create a functional design that would optimize the use of space on both sites while adhering to Waverley Council planning regulations and guidelines. This project presented us with a unique opportunity to deliver two contemporary and functional homes in an enviable location within walking distance from Sydney’s famous beach.
