Now their two young boys are high school age, the family desperately needs more space.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the first-floor additions of any semis, Waverley Council usually prefer a second-storey with a gable roof build form. Working with a good team and with the client&#8217;s support, a currently less common atypical second-floor addition was approved and built 15 years ago. It was not without fighting.<\/p>\n<p>To add more space internally, this time we need to extend further into the original single-storey building at the front as well as expand both upstairs and downstairs at the back.
