The original 1920s workers cottage features a small \u2018lean-to\u2019 extension to the rear. Despite the charming character of this bungalow, it currently lacks access to natural light and connections to the rear garden. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The removed \u2018lean-to\u2019 will make way for a new bathroom and an open plan living, kitchen, dining space with stronger physical and visual connections to the garden. Due to its location in a Heritage Conservation Area, the extension will take the form of a pavilion connected to the cottage through a neutral lower-built connector. Considering the intense competition for on street parking at Watsons Bay, a lightweight carport structure will added.
