Watsons Bay Cottage: DA Approved

Watsons Bay Cottage: DA Approval

The Development Application for our Watsons Bay project has been approved. The original 1920s workers cottage features a small ‘lean-to’ extension to the rear. Despite the charming character of this bungalow, it currently lacks access to natural light and connections to the rear garden.

The removed ‘lean-to’ will make way for a new bathroom and an open plan living, kitchen, dining space with stronger physical and visual connections to the garden. Due to its location in a Heritage Conservation Area, the extension will take the form of a pavilion connected to the cottage through a neutral lower-built connector. Considering the intense competition for on street parking at Watsons Bay, a lightweight carport structure will added. Most importantly, it will provide universal access for its clients.
