Mosman Jigsaw House: Construction Completion

Mosman Jigsaw House: Construction Completion

April 20, 2023

The exterior of the house is nearly complete. The existing house gets a “face-lift” with a combination of natural hardwood, painted timber and metal railing. Simple yet effective.

The construction is coming together with most of the interior areas taking shape. The photos above show the careful consideration given to the relationship between internal and external spaces.

With the project coming to an end, it is pleasing to see so much of the ideas behind the design being realised.

A seemingly simple concrete terrace requires precise formwork construction and a careful and timely concrete pour. The terrace acts as the roof to the new garage, an outdoor garden, and the floor to the new laundry and indoor exercise room.

After weeks of preparation, we are thrilled to see a solid base as the foundation for our next stage of work.

Demolition is underway for our renovation project in Mosman.

The existing front verandah has been carefully removed, making way for a brand new level below. The upper balcony will be retained with a recladding makeover.

The interior of the house was stripped down, almost ready for the new work.

Despite the Builder’s best effort to practice COVID safety on-site, the NSW Government ordered all construction works to temporarily suspend for two weeks.

We look forward to coming back on site soon.
